After attending countless sales trainings, national sales meetings, conferences, workshops, seminars, and immersing myself in industry insights over the years and throughout my career, I've discovered that the most profound 'aha' moments and best practices often came from my daily grind as a frontline seller.

It's in the field where real learning and experience happens. I've come to embrace failure as a critical stepping stone to success. Failure isn't just an option; it's a necessity for becoming a top performer. Reflecting on my journey, I've summarized these experiences into what I believe are the keys to sales success. Sales success isn't just about closing deals; it's a journey, sometimes an adventure, and sometimes a comedy routine. Here are the 10 irrefutable laws to guide you on this journey:

1. Communicate with Confidence: Speak like you are self-assured, even if you are not. Self confidence becomes sales confidence. People like to. buy and partner with someone who is direct and assertive. Your confidence is contagious!

2. Activity = Results: Think of daily activity as your sales vitamins. Take them regularly, and watch your results grow strong and healthy.

3. When You Do What is Hard, It Becomes Easy: Embrace the challenge. Today's hurdles are tomorrow's stepping stones. Do not allow fear or other emotions to stop your actions.

4. When Emotions Run High, Intelligence Runs Low: Keep calm and sell on. Take the high road when it comes to tough customers, a presentation that got derailed, or a tough boss. Emotional intelligence is your secret weapon.

5. Instead of Working Harder, Understand the Keys to Working Smarter: Work smart, not just hard. Set work boundaries and be careful not to over commit. Efficiency is the name of the game.

6. Mastering Critical ‘What If’ Thinking: Be the Sherlock Holmes of sales. Anticipate, analyze, and act on every 'what if' scenario. I always have a plan A, B, an C, in each sales opportunity.

7. The Power of Persistence: Be the tortoise, not the hare. Slow and steady wins the race, especially in sales. 2mm steps each day add up to big results.

8. The Pain of Self-Discipline is Better than the Pain of Regret: Discipline is your best friend. Regret is just a lousy roommate. Adapt to systems and structure that supports you.

9. Progress vs Procrastination: Choose progress. Procrastination is the thief of time and sales. Procrastination causes undue stress and can lead to poor quality and delivery.

10. Sales is 99% Customer Service and 1% Making a Sale: Treat your customers like royalty, and they'll crown you with loyalty. Be someone that people like to do business with.
